Two weeks ago, we hosted the Figma Config Watch Party Abeokuta 2025, and it’s still sinking in how powerful the experience was.
As the lead for Friends of Figma Abeokuta, I’ve always believed in the power of community-driven tech ecosystems. This year, in partnership with ATB Tech Hub, my team and I brought together designers, developers, product managers, and tech-curious minds from all over Abeokuta to engage, learn, and explore the future of collaborative design.

Figma’s announcements this year weren’t just updates—they were a clear signal that Figma is becoming a full-stack product platform for teams, not just designers.
Here’s what we explored:
- Figma Make – Build shareable interactive experiences without leaving Figma.
- Figma Buzz – Conversation threads and async collaboration embedded right into your design process.
- Figma Sites – Yes, you can now design and publish entire websites directly in Figma.
- Figma Draw – Bring freehand creativity into your workflows—ideal for brainstorming and flows.
- Figma CMS (coming soon) – A game-changer for dynamic, content-driven design systems.
It was incredible to see people light up with curiosity, ask sharp questions, and brainstorm how these tools would reshape their work.
I’m deeply proud of my team for their dedication, and grateful to ATB Tech Hub for opening up their space and supporting this vision. These moments remind me why I do what I do—to empower people, nurture innovation, and build ecosystems that thrive.
